The IFPA offers general counselling and psychotherapy with our team of qualified and accredited counsellors and psychotherapists.

Both counselling and psychotherapy involve the provision of professional assistance and support to people who wish to gain a greater understanding of themselves to help alleviate issues that may be causing them difficulty or stress.

Our IFPA counselling and psychotherapy sessions provide opportunities for those seeking support to work towards ways of living in more satisfying and resourceful ways.

What's involved

IFPA counselling and psychotherapy sessions are provided in a confidential, non-judgmental environment. They cover a wide-range of issues or concerns including:

  • Bereavement
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Couple counselling
  • Addiction
  • Depression
  • Relationship or marital difficulties
  • Psychosexual difficulties
  • HIV/Hepatitis C

Our Counsellors

All our counsellors are experienced, professionally trained and accredited by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) or the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP).


Our general counselling and psychotherapy service is based in our Dublin city centre clinic:
