The IFPA provides safe, confidential, non-directive and non-judgmental pregnancy counselling services for women who are experiencing an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. The service is free and operated by professional accredited counsellors and psychotherapists at 11 locations nationwide: Cork, Dublin City Centre, Tallaght, Dundalk, Tuam, Galway, Gorey, Letterkenny, Limerick, Sligo and Waterford. Post-abortion counselling is also available at these centres. IFPA counsellors provide accurate, honest and clear information about all pregnancy options – abortion, parenting and adoption – and will support a woman's own choice in all cases.
The IFPA Education and Training Department provides a selection of specialist training courses and education resources for people working in the area of sexuality education, for parents and community groups.
The IFPA Advocacy and Communications Department is responsible for all media queries, public events and the development of the IFPA's policy position on all aspects of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Ireland and internationally.
