Injection

Effectiveness: 99.97% effective as long as repeat injections are received.

What is it?
Hormonal Contraception. It is an injection containing progestogen that is given by a doctor or nurse once every three months.

Is it for you?
The injection is semi-long-acting, and provides effective contraception without the need to take medication everyday. Depending on the type of injection, it may take as long as one year for fertility to return to normal.

As it is an injection, it cannot be removed from the body, so any side-effects can’t be conter-acted.
