Diaphragm

Effectiveness: 98% effective.

What is it?
Barrier Contraception. A diaphragm is a rubber dome that is put into the vagina to create a barrier between the sperm and the entrance to the womb. It has to be fitted initially by a doctor or nurse, and should always be used with spermicide. It also has to stay in place for 6 hours after sex.

Is it for you?
The diaphragm does not interfere with sex, and your partner will not be able to feel it. However, inserting it can interfere with spontaneity. It can also take a bit of time to get used to using it.
