Cervical Cap
Effectiveness: This method has a low reliability, 91% effective in women who have not had babies, and 74% effective in women who have had a baby.
What is it?
Barrier Contraception. A cap made of silicone or rubber that is smaller than the diaphragm. It too requires fitting by a doctor or nurse and must be used with spermicides.
Is it for you?
It will need to be checked every 6 months to make sure that it fits.
You may need to practice to make sure that you are fitting it properly.
