The IFPA's popular Certificate in Contraception Theory for doctors and nurses is designed to give family doctors, nurses and other medical practitioners the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a family planning service of high medical standard.
OVERVIEW
- The post-graduate education programme comprise two days of theoretical training and six sessions of practical training.
- The programme is certified by the Joint Committee of Family Planning and has An Bord Altranais Category 1 approval.
- The date for the next theoretical training course is Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 April, 2012. The course starts at 9.30 both mornings.
COST
- Nurses: theoretical training costs €400 (to be paid on submission of registration form), and practical training costs €100 (to be paid on attendance at first session).
- Doctors: theoretical training cost €400 (to be paid on submission of registration form), and the practical training costs €250 (to be paid on attendance at first session).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
- Nurses must be registered with An Bord Altranais
- Doctors must be registered with the Irish Medical Council
