Non-specific Urethritis (NSU) is an inflammation of the urethra, which occurs only in men. If left untreated it may cause infertility.
How do I get it?

Sexual contact with an infected person including vaginal and anal sex and skin-to-skin contact
Symptoms

May have no symptoms

Burning or discomfort passing urine

Redness or swelling at the opening at the tip of the penis

If not treated the infection can spread to the testicles and prostate gland causing pain or swelling

If left untreated may affect male fertility

Please note that patients must avoid emptying their bladder for 90 minutes prior to appointment
